    Summer Art Camp I Alleghany Highlands Arts & Crafts Center (AHACC) youth art program is designed to foster an appreciation of art for students ages 8 – 12.  The Camp introduces students to a variety of materials and artistic concepts to evoke their curiosity and to hone their natural creativity.  Students will explore self-expression through various mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture as they delve into the elements and vocabulary of art. The class is taught by Clifton Middle School Art Teacher Kaarn Thomas.  Cost is $75 per child and will cover all materials. Contact the AHACC at  (540) 862-4447.

    The Gran Fondo Alleghany celebrates its ninth edition in July 2018 and our commitment to providing riders with a premium experience remains steadfast. Riders may choose from four courses:  the Gran Fondo is a 116-mile mountainous course, the Medio Fondo is a 69-mile hilly course, the Medio Mountain is a 69-mile mountainous course or the Piccolo Fondo which is  29-mile hilly course. All of our rides come with course timing, neutral technical support, fully stocked rest stops and food and beverage at the finish served with our renowned Alleghany Highlands hospitality!

    Take a scenic drive through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley to the Virginia's Western Highlands of Bath County and join us for the Bath County Art Show featuring artwork from over 250 Virginia artists (and beyond!)  Proceeds from the Bath County Art Show assist the Bath County Arts Association in awarding scholarships to local students, sponsoring visual and performing arts programs and supplementing art education in the Bath County Public School.  Enjoy stunning works of art in a variety of mediums--acrylic, charcoal, graphics, oil pastel, photography, sculpture, watercolor and more. Artwork will be received July 14 & 15 between 1:00-5:00pmEntry form will be available on the website in May.
