Locality:On Saturday, December 10 at 10:30 a.m. Santa will roll into Millboro on the Buckingham Branch Railroad Santa Express. Santa will disembark the train to meet with good little girls and boys and their parents where he will pose for pictures, give out candy canes and share holiday good wishes. The train will depart Millboro at 11:00 a.m. arriving at the Goshen station at 11:30. The train will go on to stops at Craigsville (12:30) and Staunton (2:00). Unwrapped gifts may be brought to the Santa Train location, where representatives of the Rockbridge Marine Corps League Detachment 1351 Toys for Tots will accept the donations to be included in the Toys for Tots distribution program for Christmas 2016. Other Toys for Tots Santa Express donation locations can be found in Bath County at the Millboro General Store and in Goshen at the Dollar General, BG’s2, the Goshen Library, Goshen Fire Department and the Goshen Town Hall. In 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official activity of the U. S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve. Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Program has distributed over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children.
